2009 Ride to Live Bicycle Road Races at Barber Motorsports Park Saturday April 11, 2009
The Barber Motorsports Park will once again host the Ride to Live Road Race on Saturday April 11, 2009.
Proceeds from the races will be donated to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Bicycle racing hardly ever gets the chance to race on 45' wide pristine surfaces and smooth flowing curves, with enough elevation variations in the track to keep it interesting and very challenging. " We'd like to continue to grow our race so we have every field full, and men, women and juniors can race on a safe wonderful track, whether they have team sponsorship or are individuals that just like to ride" - Jerry Kelly race organizer. "The other aspect of the race and personally the most important, is that we are raising money to fight cancer. We raced from 7:30 to 5:00 Saturday. During that time approximately 450 people lost their life to cancer in the United States. That's just not acceptable."
race results will be sent in to USCF Thanks for supporting our races
Thanks to our sponsors that make it possible for us to race and contribute to the fight against cancer.
